Appletree Institute is a non-profit charitable corporation organized to provide programs and services for governmental units and non-profit corporations resulting in reduced costs, increased efficiency and effectiveness.
Appletree Institute has been very active in forming and managing insurance pools for health coverages with additional offerings of life, accidental death and dismemberment, long-term disability, long-term care, workers' compensation and property/liability coverages. Appletree Institute has served over 30,000 employees and their family members, employed by more than 250 agencies annually. Employee insurances are currently offered through pool programs in South Dakota to school districts, cities and counties.
Additional programs have included the offering of annuity programs, governmental short-term borrowing programs and long-distance phone service programs.
Appletree Institute prides itself in designing programs to meet the specific needs of those it serves. The newest program launched is a discounted program in partnership with Office Depot for the delivery of office products, furniture and more.
